Scope 3 without the spreadsheet theater

Category 4 and 9 need load-level road miles from a named EV carrier — not a generic diesel factor with a green footnote.

Clear-air electric freight corridor

Shippers with science-based targets cannot buy their way out of freight. Upstream and downstream transportation — GHG Protocol Scope 3, categories 4 and 9 — is the inventory that actually moves with the truck. If the truck is diesel, the factor is diesel. A surcharge does not change the molecule.

EV Semi-Fleet exists to retire those miles. Every dispatched load is a Class-8 Tesla Semi. Zero tailpipe. The reporting artifact is the load, not a marketing PDF.

The ease of filing EV miles

You already have a load number, a bill of lading, and a POD. We attach actual road miles — routed on roads, not air miles — plus origin, destination, and the fact that the tractor was all-electric. Sustainability can map that to category 4 or 9 without inventing an emissions factor for a truck that did not burn diesel.

That is the ease of it. No extra portal. No annual “green freight” survey that your 3PL fills in with an industry average. The evidence is the same packet operations already files.

Why a named carrier beats a brokered green tag

Brokered capacity can put an EV on a load and still leave you with mixed data: which tractor actually pulled, which miles were electric, which were a diesel cover. Direct means your sustainability lead and our operations lead share a lane list. The truck on the POD is the truck that ran.

We will not certify a diesel mile as electric. If a lane cannot be covered with the Tesla Semi and a legal California day, we do not take it as EV. That honesty is what makes the inventory usable in an audit.

What to send us

Lanes, weekly volume, equipment (van, power-only, drop, dray), appointment windows, and whether the goal is a pilot or a standing program. We come back with what we can cover from San Bernardino, the charging plan, and the mile data you will get back on each load.

The ESG story writes itself when the freight actually moved electric. Start with one lane. Then put it on the books.
