How shippers actually book zero-emission Class-8 freight

A direct account with EV Semi-Fleet is a phone call, a lane list, and a load number — not a new TMS, a green surcharge, or a broker scavenger hunt.

Tesla Semi on charge at a California hub

Most sustainability decks still treat electric Class-8 as a 2030 problem. The freight is moving now. The question for a shipper with Inland Empire, port, or I-15 volume is not “does the truck exist?” It is “how hard is it to put that truck on my dock without rebuilding procurement?”

EV Semi-Fleet Corp was built for that second question. We are a named carrier — MC-1440153, USDOT 3905621 — running Tesla Semi tractors from San Bernardino. You do not buy a carbon offset. You tender a load the way you already tender freight.

The ease of a direct account

Direct is the product. Operations in San Bernardino takes the lane, the appointment windows, and the equipment type — 53-foot dry van, power-only, drop trailer, or port drayage — and answers with capacity, a charging plan, and whether the day fits California local HOS.

There is no new portal you have to train a team on. Tender from your TMS, email the load package, or call. We issue an EVSF load number, assign a Class-8 EV, and file the POD against that number. If you already post on www.EVLoadboard.com, we work that too. The preference is a standing shipper relationship so the same trucks show up on the same doors.

What you do not have to change

Your dock playbook stays. Live loads stay live. Drop programs stay drop programs. Power-only means we hook your trailer. Drayage means POLA / POLB with TWIC and Pier Pass, staged at the waterfront when dwell runs long.

The truck is different. The tender is not. That is the point of a carrier relationship instead of a one-off “green” add-on on a diesel load.

What you get back

A load number, actual road miles, origin and destination, and a POD you can hand to sustainability. Charging is on us — megacharger hubs on I-10, I-15, and I-5 when the lane needs them. You are not asked to become an energy company.

If the lane is a fit, we set it as a named account. If it is not, we say so before you burn a procurement cycle. Start with operations. That is the whole onboarding.
